Job Summary
Clinic Nurse at BMG Medical Arts Surgical Group
Provides patient care as directed and is accountable for own actions under provided direction. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy dignity and rights. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Collects patient data.
- Assists in planning patient care.
- Implements patient care as directed.
- Assists with evaluating the plan of care.
- Administers medication as prescribed.
- Performs wound care and post-operative care.
- Provides pre- and post-operative teaching.
- Schedules surgical and ancillary procedures/tests.
- Assists physicians with surgical procedures in office.
- Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
- Participates in ongoing educational activities.
- Completes assigned goals.
Specifications
Experience
Minimum of two years in an outpatient clinic setting preferred.
Education
Accredited LPN training program completion.
Special Skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Licensure
- Active unencumbered LPN license in the state of Mississippi
- BLS Certification Within 14 Days of Hire; LPN
