Civil Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly motivated Civil Litigation Attorney with over six years of experience to join their Kansas City, Missouri office. The successful candidate will manage a fast‑paced trial docket and contribute to the growth of the office. Duties Independently handle an active caseload with minimal supervision. Take and defend depositions, including those of parties and experts. Prepare complex pleadings and motions, such as petitions, answers, and motions for summary judgment. Draft and argue motions before a trial court. Engage in regular client communications. Requirements Licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas. Excellent research and writing skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. High energy and strong work ethic. Willingness to take on new projects and learn quickly. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in Missouri and Kansas. Skills Proficiency in handling civil litigation cases. Ability to manage a diverse caseload. Strong deposition and trial skills.
