Work Environment:

Helping children grow, learn, and gain new skills can be very rewarding. Our Educators will be responsible for planning and implementing curriculum for children ages Pre-K and Kindergarten. They must ensure the development and safety of these children are a priority and align with Steeplechase Academy's core values and are in compliance with the State of Missouri's Department of Education. Educators will be respectful of children and parents, and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

$19 - $24 hourly

• Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly schedules of activities
• Provide activities to encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving at the developmental levels of each child
• Read books with children
• Emergency procedures need to be provided at all times
• Provide a fun and exciting classroom atmosphere
• Ensure children are supervised at all times; this includes all areas of our facility (restrooms, classrooms, hallways, playground)
• Actively engage with children at their level at all times
• Communication: Keeping parents informed of program expectations, program activities, and their child’s progress is vital to the success of our program. You must be able to listen to parents and maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with them. Open and positive communication with coworkers and management is expected at all times.

• Bachelor's in Early Education

• 1yr + in an educational setting

• Positive communicator

• Able to follow a provided daily schedule for the students

• Reliable worker to create a consistent routine for the students

• Must be able to pass a mandatory background screening

• Annual professional development required

Steeplechase Academy is a modified-Montessori private preschool and elementary school that blends the child-centered philosophy of Montessori education with the structure and enrichment of a traditional academic program.
