RN - Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab - Day Shift

Position Overview

• Department: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Schedules Available: Day shifts only
  • 3x12‘s, 6 days call every 5 weeks
  • 4x10‘s, 8 days call every 5 weeks
  • 5x8‘s, 8 days call every 5 weeks
  • PRN as needed
• Work Location: UAB St Vincent‘s Birmingham

The Cardiac Cath Lab at UAB St. Vincent‘s Birmingham provides expert cardiac care in an outpatient setting utilizing cutting-edge technology with three fully equipped cath labs and two non-invasive labs . We offer a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures , including procedures like heart catheterization and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), as well as advanced imaging techniques such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS, OCT) and functional assessments (FFR/ iFR ) . What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient‘s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire required.

Additional Preferences

1+ year RN experience strongly preferred.
