Ontario Convention Center Guest Services Attendant

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, Guest Services Attendants are responsible for providing excellent guest service at ASM Ontario events. Employees should be a self-starter that is able to operate under minimal supervision to accomplish work tasks such as: assist patrons at sports and entertainment events by performing duties, such as greeting guests, collecting admission tickets and passes from patrons, assisting in finding seats, searching for lost articles, and locating such facilities as rest rooms and telephones. This is a part-time, event-based, and hourly position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include greeting guests, checking badges, assisting with crowd control, maintaining fire watch, directing show move-in and move-outs, scanning tickets, providing directions, checking tickets for seat access, maintaining a safe environment, responding to guest complaints and questions, performing various duties efficiently, using excellent customer service skills, completing tasks within guidelines, interacting calmly with emotional guests, memorizing relevant information, following policies, maintaining confidentiality, and other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 18 years of age, one year prior customer service experience preferably in a sports/entertainment venue, reliability, good communication skills, reliable transportation, English proficiency, friendly personality, ability to take direction, ability to operate radio devices, neat appearance with no visible tattoos or unnatural hair colors, and availability to work at least 70% of events including weekends and holidays. Work conditions involve moderate supervision, walking and standing 95% of the time, possible outdoor work, irregular hours, and safety precautions. The position is part-time, event-based, and hourly with compensation of $18.00 an hour.
