About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in specialty License: Valid RN license required; pending license accepted for submission Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS and NIH certifications preferred Must-Have: Experience with telemetry, IV starts, and various cardiac medications and devices Description: This position involves caring for patients who have undergone bone and joint reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma surgery, or experienced sports injuries. The unit serves patients ages 18 and older and operates under a team nursing model. Patient ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:5. There will be remote telemetry monitoring with off-unit staffing. The RN will be required to have experience with cardiac drips, including Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Argatroban, Amiodarone, and Dopamine. Experience with orthopedic devices such as CPMs, Hemovacs, Wound Vacs, and traction is also necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The RN may be floated within their scope to meet facility needs.
