Principal AI Engineer - Developer Experience and Agentic Tooling

As a Principal AI Engineer, you will build and evolve internal software platforms that use AI to support complex development workflows, improve visibility into software changes, and help engineering teams deliver software with greater speed, quality, and confidence.

• Build AI-powered internal development tools.
• Design and ship internal software platforms that help engineering teams understand, automate, and improve the software development lifecycle.
• Create reusable tools, APIs, workflows, and interfaces that allow teams to adopt AI-assisted development patterns.
• Build systems that connect events from CI/CD, deployments, approvals, security scans, quality gates, source control, work tracking systems, and service dependency data into a coherent view of software change.
• Design and implement infrastructure for long-running AI-assisted workflows.
• Ensure internal AI platforms are production-ready, observable, cost-aware, and resilient.
• Define patterns, abstractions, and best practices for AI usage in development workflows.
• Work closely with development teams to understand their workflows and build tools that remove friction from software delivery.

Requirements

• Experience building internal developer platforms, CI/CD systems, deployment tooling, workflow engines, service catalogs, or software delivery intelligence platforms.
• Experience with agentic workflow systems, graph-based execution, durable orchestration, or human-in-the-loop automation.
• Experience with LLM observability, evaluation, prompt/version tracking, model routing, or cost controls.
• Experience integrating with source control, work tracking systems, CI/CD platforms, deployment systems, security scanners, or service dependency graphs.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, platform portals, internal control planes, or developer experience tooling.
