Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) position available in a busy acute care hospital located in Port Charlotte, Florida. This role involves providing inpatient physical therapy services to a diverse patient population, utilizing new equipment and technology. The provider will join a collaborative and experienced team, working every other weekend and participating in holiday rotations in accordance with facility policy.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license; Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited college or university; acute care experience; no minimum experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Meditech experience; intensive care unit (ICU) experience
• Unit Information:
  • Location: Acute care hospital with 253 beds, including a 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
  • Staff: Approximately 20 physical therapy caregivers
  • Typical patient load: 9-10 patients per day with a 75% productivity standard
  • Equipment: Mobility equipment
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
• Additional Information:
  • The role requires a collaborative, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
  • The candidate must be prepared to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotation basis
