Emergency Medicine Founding PD and Assistant DIO

Centerpoint Medical Center, located in the Kansas City metro, is launching a new ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine residency and is seeking a Founding Emergency Medicine Program Director who will also serve as Assistant Designated Institutional Official (Assistant DIO) . This role was intentionally designed for an experienced academic leader seeking broader institutional impact, rather than stewardship of a single program alone. Role structure Full authority over program design, curriculum, and culture 40% Assistant Designated Institutional Official (Assistant DIO) Oversight of GME programs, ACGME compliance, CLER, and strategic initiatives 20% Clinical Emergency Medicine Maintain clinical engagement with a sustainable schedule Additional highlights Significant protected administrative time Strong executive and GME infrastructure support Level II Trauma Center with robust subspecialty backup Opportunity to shape both a new residency and the future of GME enterprise wide This position is best suited for an APD, PD, or experienced academic Emergency Medicine physician interested in legacy building and long‑term leadership growth within GME. #J-18808-Ljbffr HCA Healthcare
