We are currently recruiting for a Manager I, Procurement Contracts. This is a full-time position based in Edmonton, Calgary, Alberta and Anchorage US. We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager / Senior Contract Administrator to act as an individual contributor responsible for the end to end management and administration of assigned contract and construction packages on complex pipeline and pipeline related infrastructure projects. This role is accountable for contract execution, commercial compliance, risk management, and change control for designated scopes of work. The position works closely with project management, engineering, construction, supply chain, legal, regulatory, and client teams and does not include people or line management responsibilities. The role is Canada/US based (Alberta, Alaska) and may require periodic travel to client offices or pipeline construction sites throughout the life of the contracts.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage and administer assigned pipeline construction and services contracts from award through commercial close out.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant contract administration in accordance with contractual terms, company policies, project governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain complete, auditable contract records, including correspondence, progress meeting minutes, change documentation, and performance tracking.
- Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and contract documents to identify commercial risk, non standard terms, and deviations from company policy or regulatory obligations.
- Support development and execution of contract strategies and contracting plans for pipeline scopes, including spreads, construction packages, and specialty services.
- Lead or support negotiations related to assigned contracts, including clarifications, amendments, variations, claims, and disputes within delegated authority.
- Administer contracts during execution, including correspondence, progress meetings, change management, and performance measurement.
- Manage contract changes, variations, and amendments, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and traceability.
- Interface directly with clients to obtain commercial approvals and address contractual matters in line with established governance and delegation of authority.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in contract administration and contract management, including: experience on pipeline or pipeline related infrastructure projects, such as transmission pipelines, gathering systems, compressor stations, terminals, or facilities. Experience working within EPC and/or EPCM delivery environments. Strong hands on experience managing individual contract or construction packages through their full lifecycle.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex contractual scopes with minimal supervision. Strong understanding of commercial risk, change management, claims, and contract close out processes in pipeline execution. Working knowledge of Canadian pipeline contracting practices, regulatory considerations, and construction risks. Ability to interpret and apply contractual terms, policies, and procedures to real world field execution challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present commercial issues, recommendations, and summaries to project and client stakeholders. Effective negotiator with the ability to influence outcomes while maintaining positive, professional relationships. Collaborative, team oriented mindset with a strong customer service focus. Experience working in multi cultural and, where applicable, multi national project environments.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
