Vice President of Operations — Real Estate

Location: Nashville, TN | Full-Time | On-Site, Five Days per Week

Base Salary: $170,000–$200,000 + Annual Profit-Sharing Opportunity

The Opportunity

An established residential real estate investment company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee companywide operations and serve as the CEO’s primary operating partner.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who brings structure, develops managers, strengthens accountability, and builds a collaborative company culture. You will lead daily activities in the Nashville office, connect departments, and translate the CEO’s vision into clear priorities and consistent execution.

The ideal candidate brings strong real estate industry experience, direct P&L ownership, and hands-on experience using Salesforce to manage workflows, reporting, and operational performance.

What You’ll Lead

Companywide Operations and Execution

• Oversee daily operations across acquisitions, construction and renovation, dispositions, transaction coordination, marketing, and administrative support.

• Serve as the senior operational leader in the office, providing accessible leadership and timely decisions.
\n
• Translate business objectives into department plans with clear owners, deadlines, and measurable outcomes.
\n
• Improve communication and handoffs throughout the property lifecycle, from acquisition through renovation, resale, and closing.
\n
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks affecting timelines, costs, inventory turnover, and team performance.
\n

CEO Partnership and Leadership Accountability

• Work closely with the CEO as a trusted operating partner, turning strategic direction into practical action.
\n
• Own day-to-day execution, resolve cross-functional issues, and keep priorities moving to completion.
\n
• Establish clear expectations, department scorecards, and a consistent rhythm of leadership meetings and performance reviews.
\n
• Coach department managers to lead independently, address challenges, and take ownership of results.
\n
• Provide the CEO with reliable visibility into performance, emerging risks, and recommended actions.
\n

Culture and Team Integration

• Reinforce company values through daily leadership, communication, recognition, and decision-making.
\n
• Build trust and collaboration across departments while maintaining clear performance standards.
\n
• Create an environment where employees understand their responsibilities, receive constructive feedback, and see how their work contributes to company goals.

Financial and Process Management

\n
• Own the operating P&L for a business generating approximately $25 million or more in annual revenue.
\n
• Lead budgeting, expense management, resource planning, and profitability improvement in partnership with Finance.
\n
• Monitor property-level performance, renovation costs, holding periods, and operating efficiency.
\n
• Document and improve processes, procedures, training, and accountability across the organization.
\n
• Evaluate staffing, vendor, and technology investments against business priorities and expected returns.
\n

Salesforce and Operational Visibility

\n
• Lead operational use of Salesforce, the company’s current CRM platform , across departments.
\n
• Use Salesforce reports and dashboards to monitor workflows, pipeline movement, activity, and operating performance.
\n
• Establish expectations for data accuracy, consistent system usage, and timely updates.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, and automation, partnering with technical resources or vendors on implementation.
\n
• Ensure Salesforce supports how the business operates and provides leadership with dependable information.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Strong real estate industry experience , preferably in residential real estate investment, homebuying, renovation and resale, or a closely related business.
\n
• Experience leading companywide operations or a substantial operating division with multiple departments.
\n
• Direct P&L responsibility for a business or division with approximately $25 million or more in annual revenue .
\n
• Hands-on Salesforce experience is required , including using reports, dashboards, and workflows to manage business performance and team accountability.
\n
• A demonstrated ability to implement processes, procedures, and performance measures that produce measurable improvements.
\n
• Experience managing and developing department leaders.
\n
• Strong financial judgment and an understanding of how operating decisions affect profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
\n
• Experience partnering directly with a CEO, founder, or involved business owner.
\n
• A leadership style that combines decisiveness, follow-through, approachability, and respect.
\n
• Ability to work in the Nashville office five days per week .
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Experience improving property lifecycle workflows, renovation timelines, transaction coordination, or inventory turnover.
\n
• Experience leading operational improvements within an entrepreneurial or owner-led company.
\n
• Familiarity with EOS, Scaling Up, or a comparable operating framework.
\n
• Experience improving Salesforce adoption or coordinating system enhancements with administrators, developers, or outside partners.
\n

Compensation

$170,000–$200,000 base salary , depending on experience, plus an annual performance-based profit-sharing opportunity.
