Minimum Requirements Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program; for licensure prior to 2016, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is acceptable; licensure from 2016 onward requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license required prior to start of assignment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. 1–2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in hospital, rehabilitation, or ambulatory/outpatient settings. Orthopedic physical therapy experience required. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred. Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, plan‑of‑care development, goal setting, documentation, and outcome evaluation. Experience supervising PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations preferred.
