Senior Financial Specialist

Hybrid | Mid-Senior | 5+ Years | Bachelor's Degree Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Solutions Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Certinia ERP/PSA (formerly FinancialForce) and a solid background in finance and accounting processes. This is a highly collaborative techno-functional role that requires someone who can effectively bridge the gap between Finance, Business, and Technology. The ideal candidate will have experience leading or supporting multiple ERP implementations, designing scalable solutions, managing integrations, and working directly with senior and C-suite stakeholders. The successful candidate will serve as a Certinia subject-matter expert, helping drive solution design, system enhancements, integrations, application support, UAT, change management, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Finance & ERP Solution Design: Serve as a senior SME for Certinia ERP/PSA; gather requirements; conduct fit-gap analysis; design end-to-end solutions; develop user stories and acceptance criteria. Certinia ERP / PSA: Support Finance, Project Accounting, Resource Management, Time & Expense, Billing, Revenue Recognition, WIP, Backlog Reporting, Project Economics, and Multi-Currency functionality; monitor performance and troubleshoot issues. Integrations & Technical Architecture: Define and oversee API, data, and system integrations; guide technical teams; support troubleshooting and scalable, secure solutions. Business & Executive Stakeholder Management: Partner with Finance and business leadership; work directly with senior/C-suite stakeholders; translate technical concepts into business recommendations. Implementation & Project Delivery: Support or lead Certinia implementations from requirements through deployment; lead UAT; support change management, training, documentation, and Agile delivery. Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Mentor administrators/analysts; collaborate with vendors; improve processes; maintain documentation; ensure compliance with IT controls and security policies. Required Qualifications – MUST HAVES Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 3-4+ years of hands-on experience with Certinia ERP and/or PSA. Experience with Certinia/FinancialForce implementations, enhancements, or application support. Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes. Experience with Time Entry, Revenue Recognition, WIP, Backlog Reporting, Project Accounting, and Billing. Experience as a techno-functional consultant or ERP solutions specialist. Experience translating business requirements into technical/system solutions. Experience with ERP implementations and fit-gap analysis. Strong understanding of API and system integrations. Experience working directly with business stakeholders and senior leadership. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience working in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Deep expertise across Certinia ERP/PSA modules including Financials, Project Accounting, Resource Management, Time & Expense, Billing, Revenue Recognition, Multi-Currency, and Project Economics. Experience with Certinia integrations and APIs. Experience leading complex ERP implementations from requirements through deployment. Experience working with CFOs, Finance executives, and C-suite stakeholders. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow. Experience leading UAT and change management initiatives. Experience mentoring ERP administrators, analysts, or consultants. Experience managing external vendors or implementation partners. Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a business-oriented ERP professional, not simply a technical administrator or accountant. You should be comfortable moving between Finance & Accounting, Business Requirements, Certinia ERP/PSA, and Technical Teams.
