Java Spring boot/ AWS Lead Developer

Title: Lead Software Engineer - Java, AWS & Cloud Infrastructure Location: Wilmington, DE Client Industry: Fintech Compensation: $65-75/ hr Skills Required Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years applied experience Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Advanced in one or more programming language(s), including Java and Spring frameworks Hands‑on experience using Kafka for building and managing real‑time data streaming applications, including configuring topics, producers, and consumers, and ensuring reliable message delivery Hands‑on practical experience using AWS cloud services, including designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure with services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, step functions and VPC Practical experience using IaC tools (example: terraform) to build infra on AWS Proficiency in automation at various stages of SDLC and continuous delivery methods Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) In‑depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Possesses AWS Developer or Architect Associate certification, demonstrating validated expertise in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms Clear communication and ability to articulate complex ideas to various audiences including business, product, management, executives and tech audiences Nice to have: Experience in front‑end tools such as React, Angular, etc. Experience with scripting tools, BDD tools for automation Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms Experience implementing high throughput, low latency software applications About Korn Ferry Korn Ferry unleashes potential in people, teams, and organizations.
