Renewables Asset Manager, Commercial Strategy - Energy StorageLocations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on developing and executing dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects and is currently expanding rapidly.The Energy Storage Asset Manager will join a growing Asset Management Division, a creative team focused on energy storage/battery management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations.The role involves leading commercial asset management and technical engineering optimization for renewable energy battery storage assets nationwide. It also includes pioneering the build-out of a proprietary energy storage management platform.Employees are offered comprehensive compensation, a competitive salary, open PTO, flexible hours, health benefits, and the chance to work with a transparent executive team.Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day operations of utility-scale battery storage assets across ISO/RTOs to ensure optimal performance post-COD.Review and recommend on commercial agreements such as PPA, O&M, Transmission Interconnection, Development Leases, Project Financing, and Entity Structures.Lead asset-based accounting initiatives, creating and analyzing operational budgets.Provide technical expertise to project teams on design, contractual terms, warranties, and risk assessments.Offer commercial insights on P&Ls, budgets, energy deal structures, PPAs, and cash management.Plan outages, switching, and maintenance to minimize downtime.Oversee compliance with NERC/FERC and ISO/RTO requirements, working with third-party service providers.Qualifications:Experience in utility-scale renewables, asset management, portfolio management, or operations; commercial asset management experience is REQUIRED; engineering background is a plus.Proven success in asset management/engineering, including financial performance optimization, O&M, and energy management across various platforms.Strong background in P&Ls, budgeting, energy deal structures, PPAs, and cash management.Experience managing third-party O&M contractors and service providers.Knowledge of NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO operational compliance, outage management, and switching.Familiarity with SCADA management and plant control systems.Ability to review commercial agreements is a plus.Ideal candidates include roles like Sr. Portfolio Manager, Asset Manager, Asset Management Lead, Sr. Asset Engineer, etc., in renewable or clean energy companies.J-18808-Ljbffr
