Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care, Ennis, TX, United States This is a travel, temporary assignment starting 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. 36 hours guaranteed per week, Day shift. Work setting is a long-term care nursing home environment. Key Highlights Weekly pay: 1,831 to 1,929 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Start date: 09/21/2026 Setting: Long-term care / Nursing home Travel assignment with dedicated support during the placement Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for residents to identify communication and swallowing needs. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to improve or maintain speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing function. Provide direct therapy to residents, including therapy for dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and related communication disorders. Document progress notes, adjust treatment plans based on resident response, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary care team and families. Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate, ensuring goals align with quality of life and safety considerations. Ensure compliance with regulatory and facility requirements, including accurate documentation, billing, and patient safety standards. Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current license or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the United States (licensure requirements aligned to the assignment location). Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a long-term care setting and with an interdisciplinary team. Strong documentation, communication, and clinical skills for evaluation, treatment planning, and progress reporting. Availability for a day shift schedule and 13-week assignment. Experience with or willingness to work with residents with swallowing and cognitive-communication disorders.
