Software Engineer

Launch your software career with a company built to do exactly that. SkillStorm develops technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. You'll start with 12 weeks of paid, hands‑on training on real, team‑based projects, then deploy directly to an enterprise or government client, effective day one. This isn't a program you pay for. It's a paid position with a clear path from "qualified" to "deployed professional." We're looking for people at the start of their technical careers, including recent graduates, career changers with a technical background, and transitioning service members and veterans, who have the fundamentals, the drive, and the desire for a structured route into enterprise software work. Are you eligible? You likely are if you have the following: A bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar) At least 1 year of technical work experience You'll also need a working knowledge of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object‑oriented language like Java or C#. Every applicant who meets one of those paths gets an individual review for fit. Not sure if you qualify? Apply anyway. That's our decision to make, not yours to rule yourself out of. You'll stand out if you bring: Strong problem‑solving and logical reasoning skills Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders The ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance Openness to relocating for a client placement Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on SkillStorm's W2 (no C2C arrangements) Veterans and transitioning service members: Structured training, a clear mission, clearance‑eligible work, and relocation support. This model is built around the way you already operate, and we actively want you in this pipeline. What you'll do on deployment: Build and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools Write clean, efficient, well‑organized code that meets professional standards Troubleshoot and fix defects, and provide technical support and resolution Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving constructive feedback Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications Support testing and production deployments, and maintain technical documentation Stay current on industry tools and techniques through ongoing training Why candidates choose SkillStorm: Competitive salary. You're paid from day one, not funding your own training Enterprise‑grade technology training and certifications Work with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies Health, vision, dental, and life insurance, plus a 401(k) Ongoing mentorship and support through training and placement About SkillStorm Founded in 2002, SkillStorm was built on the mission of accelerating careers in high-demand technologies.
