Technician - Level 2

Job Overview Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines such as large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize downtime. Maintain safety standards while working on equipment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired. 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment educated. May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills. Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills. Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. Physical Demands Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more. Work indoors or outdoors as required by the job. Compensation Base Pay Range: $20.31 - $27.92 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
