Manager, Talent Acquisition - Operations & Compliance

Job Description We are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and detail-oriented Manager, Talent Acquisition - Operations & Compliance to lead critical recruiting operations and ensure a seamless, compliant pre-onboarding experience. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, regulatory adherence, and data-driven decision-making across the Talent Acquisition function. This leader will partner cross-functionally while demonstrating strong business acumen, influencing skills, and a commitment to building trust and developing talent. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in recruiting operations and compliance, along with a passion for continuous improvement and team development. Responsibilities Lead and optimize the pre-onboarding process, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and candidate-centered experience from offer acceptance through start date Oversee background screening processes via HireRight, ensuring timely completion, issue resolution, and adherence to service-level expectations Manage the I-9 process, ensuring full compliance and audit readiness while maintaining accuracy and efficiency Serve as the subject matter expert for Talent Acquisition compliance, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and company requirements Proactively identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous audit readiness Develop and deliver executive-level dashboards and reporting, providing clear, actionable insights to influence decision-making Analyze operational and compliance metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement Manage external vendor relationships (e.g., background screening providers), ensuring service excellence and accountability Oversee vendor invoicing and budget management, ensuring accuracy, cost control, and alignment with financial objectives Lead, coach, and develop a team of three, fostering a high-performance culture centered on accountability, growth, and collaboration Ensure equitable workload distribution while supporting individual career development and engagement Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, and candidate experience Lead and support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives, driving operational excellence across Talent Acquisition Collaborate with HR, Legal, Payroll, and Operations to ensure alignment and efficiency across onboarding and compliance processes Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, or Recruiting Operations with a strong focus on compliance Demonstrated experience managing background screening (HireRight preferred) and I-9 processes Strong experience in reporting, analytics, and executive dashboard creation Proven ability to manage vendors and budgets, including invoice oversight Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and audit practices Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills Experience with ATS platforms (Oracle Recruiting Cloud preferred) and reporting tools Preferred Qualifications Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume hiring environment Advanced Excel or data visualization skills (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Proven success driving process improvements and operational transformation initiatives As a Leader At Rheem, How You Achieve Results Is As Important As The Results You Achieve.
