Line Cook / Prep Cook – Fine Dining Restaurant

Javier’s Downtown is hiring motivated and passionate Line Cooks and Prep Cooks to join our growing culinary team. We are an upscale, high-volume restaurant known for premium steaks, fresh seafood, and elevated Latin and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.

Line Cook Responsibilities

● Prepare and cook menu items according to Javier’s recipes and quality standards.

● Work stations including grill, broiler, sauté, fry, pantry, or expo.

● Ensure proper seasoning, temperatures, timing, and presentation of every dish.

● Maintain speed, accuracy, and consistency during high-volume service.

● Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.

● Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Prep Cook Responsibilities

● Prepare vegetables, proteins, sauces, dressings, and other ingredients for daily service.

● Follow recipes with precision and consistency.

● Label, rotate, and store products using proper food safety procedures.

● Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking inventory, and maintaining kitchen organization.

● Support line cooks by ensuring stations remain fully supplied during service.

● Maintain a clean and sanitary prep area.

Qualifications

● Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred.

● Experience with steaks, seafood, grill, sauté, or prep is a plus.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.

● Reliable, professional, and punctual.

● Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.
