About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Skilled Nursing Facility Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NY license required in hand to submit Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Previous charge experience required. Epic charting system experience required. Candidates must float across assigned units. Candidates must have experience managing patients with complex needs. Description: Responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients in a skilled nursing facility. Average daily census is 21 with a total of 23 beds available. Staffing ratios are 1:10 on all shifts. Weekend coverage required every other week. 1 year of nursing experience required, including charge experience. Previous experience with the Epic charting system is required. Candidates must not reside within 75 miles of the facility. Nursing care includes assessment, treatment, and management of patients with a variety of health conditions. Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures and interventions. Involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. General nursing duties include medication administration, patient assessments, care planning, and patient/family education. The role may require floating to different units as needed. Candidates must demonstrate competencies in patient safety and infection control practices. Strong communication skills are essential for effective patient care and teamwork.
