Registered Nurse Location: Holyoke, MASchedule: Full-time 40 Hours (8 hour shifts) - includes every other weekend One year of adult and adolescent inpatient psych experience required Must be willing to float and take charge. Responsibilities: TheRegistered Nurse (RN) is an active participant in the health care team whoprovides direct and indirect care to patients/families/legal guardians. TheRegistered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieugrounded in TaraVista Behavioral Health Center core principles. The RegisteredNurse (RN) works collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinarytreatment team and contributes to each patient's individual treatment plan byhelping develop, implement, and document appropriate goals and interventions,informed by patient strengths and presenting psychiatric problems. Qualifications:Education: RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSNpreferred. Experience:Previous psychiatric / substance inpatient experiencepreferred. CPR certification required. Restraint Reduction de-escalation /crisis intervention experience preferred. Skills: Thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate ability to use critical thinking to makedecisions and solve problems; have an advanced level knowledge of BehaviorHealth and Substance Abuse treatment modalities; applies nursing process from aTrauma Informed Recovery model of care; ability to develop a therapeuticrelationship while maintaining professional boundaries; effective oral andwritten communication; sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate useof Electronic Medical Record; crisis management, time management, delegating,coaching and team building skills; and be flexible, creative and able to managestressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner About MiraVista MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is aninnovative 84 bed inpatient hospital.
