Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Wilson, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours and weekend hours every other week.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including those with respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure (CHF), and more. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to deliver efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions utilizing GE monitors and standard emergency department equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Meditech EHR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
