Supervise accounting staff Review critical control points for PR/AR/AP Prepare financial statements and tax returns Prepare detailed variance reports comparing budgets and prior periods for management Implement financial systems Control purchasing and inventory systems Maintain banking relationships Interface with auditors Administer accounting policies and directives Perform other duties as assigned Perform accounting and finance functions for Centerline Logistics Corp. and all subsidiary companies Requirements Four year college degree in business or accounting Valid CPA 5-8 years’ experience in accounting and finance 3 years of increasingly responsible management experience in the maritime industry Experience in fuel terminal operations and controls Knowledge of accounting, finance and taxation issues Knowledge of oil transportation and marine industry Computer skills: Word, Excel, and accounting software Valid State driver’s license Ability to work independently or with no guidance Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions Ability to make decisions and give directions within approved guidelines Pre-employment drug testing is required Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to one week at a time Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in accounting and finance functions, including financial statement preparation, variance reporting, and tax return preparation. Possesses strong management experience in the maritime industry, with a focus on fuel terminal operations and controls.
