Assistant Store Manager - Union GBA-1

Compensation and Pay Pay Range: $18.60 - $24.60 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed per hour in specific circumstances. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. The role manages the store during the Manager’s absence or on opposing shifts, and leads team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged. Essential Job Functions Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including execution of programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc. Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training compliance. Enforce telephone answering according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies: posted work schedule, changes/deviations approved by management, clock in/out accordingly. Perform all store opening/closing duties: day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, checking/locking delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, Abilities Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Compensation and Benefits Competitive wages & paid time off.
