About the Position

Job Title: MSP RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgical ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 12 Hours per Shift: 12 (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: Trained and worked in a dedicated Open-Heart Unit receiving patients directly from the OR. Current experience with recovery of post-operative cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting. Experience with ventilators, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheters, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive medication titration, level 1 IABP, and ECMO. License: RN License Certifications: BLS required. ACLS preferred. Critical Care Certification preferred. Trauma course preferred. EPIC experience preferred. Must-Have: Weekend commitment of working 5 out of 6 weekends every 6 weeks. Description: The Cardiovascular Surgical ICU is an 18-bed unit. It provides care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2.
