Health & Safety Supervisor Full Time Canton, OH, US We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety & Health Supervisor to oversee all safety and occupational health programs. This role is responsible for leading site-level safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company standards, driving a strong safety culture, and partnering closely with operations leadership to prevent incidents and promote employee well-being. Why you’ll love working here: Health and wellness benefits with medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield, including mental health benefits Disability insurance Paid time off Retirement including 401k with employer contributions Personal and professional growth opportunities Employee appreciation events and recognition awards Employee wellness initiatives Employee feedback and suggestion forums Key Responsibilities Lead all safety and health programs for the facility Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry standards Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective and preventive actions Maintain accurate safety records, reporting, and documentation Lead or support incident investigations using root cause analysis methodologies Develop and deliver safety training for employees, supervisors, and contractors Partner with plant leadership to integrate safety into daily operations and decision-making Drive behavior-based safety programs and employee engagement initiatives Oversee emergency response planning and drills Support regulatory inspections and external audits Track safety metrics and report trends to leadership Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incidents and hazards Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 3–7+ years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety compliance requirements Experience conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions Proven ability to influence and coach employees and leaders at all levels Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to production areas Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, OHST, or similar Experience in food manufacturing, heavy industry, or union environments To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily.
