We care for each other, our safety, our quality, our learning, and our growth.We seek out diversity of thought, experience, and strengths in individuals, so we can continue to innovate as a team.We believe when we bring our true full selves to serve others, it elevates the quality of life for all.As with all job descriptions at R-V, this job is considered safety-sensitive.General Job DescriptionPolishers use handheld power tools to correct defects, smooth, and prepare metal surfaces.Duties/ResponsibilitiesSet-up and operate polishing equipmentMaintain buffing materials and equipment—including buffers, finishing wheels, and finishing machinesAssemble products to determine buffing areas and ensure pieces fit together after finishingMaintain a safe working environment by conducting inspections on equipment; following instructions on work order; and examining completed productConduct minor repairs when necessarySkills/QualificationsDemonstrated understanding of equipment needed for job—including wheels used for buffing and polishingBasic mathematical knowledgeAble to keep work area clean and well organizedExperience with a wide variety of stainless steel alloysAble to interpret blue prints or work order instructionsSuitable manual dexterity for manipulating equipment on a variety of partsSelf-motivated team player with the ability to think creativelyEducational/Physical RequirementsHigh School DiplomaMust be able to complete and pass a physical assessmentMust be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without accommodationMust be able to hear emergency communications and alarmsExposure to moving machinery, dust, dirt, grease or other disagreeable elementsEveryday repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement, involving gripping and wrist torquingEveryday standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stoopingEveryday lifting 25-50 lbsR-V Industries, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:00pm
