SHIPPING ASSOCIATE# SHIPPING ASSOCIATECFX NORTH - HAZLE TOWNSHIP, PA 18202## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeTravel PercentageNoneCategoryDistribution - Shipping## Description**CFX Products is hiring for our **CFX North** operation in **Hazle Township, Pennsylvania**. **We are open to both English and Spanish Speaking Applicants.******This position is based on-site at our Hazle Township facility and supports production operations at that location.****MAIN OBJECTIVE**Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; building crates; packing boxes; load trucks for delivery. Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality, and national standards of shipping best-practices. Performs repetitive operations**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES*** Perform shipping functions to pack and ship final products, using hand or power tools, in order to meet daily shipping objectives.* Perform a wide array of carpenter-related skills and tasks to properly and timely pack final products and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.* Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.* Document, record, and photograph final shipment contents and quality prior to loading it on trucks.* Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs.* Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment and/or storage.* Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead, or Production Manager.* Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.* Required to follow all company Safety Rules and Procedures. (including but not limited to PPE)* Required to maintain consistent and acceptable attendance according to the assigned schedule provided by the manager as well as the Team Member Handbook.* Meet departmental goals and defined key performance indicators (KPIs).* Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**QUALIFICATIONS*** High school Diploma/GED preferred. Less than high school education may be accepted.* A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a distribution or warehousing environment with prior knowledge in packaging and shipping standards.* Ability to lift up to 80 lbs required.* Previous knowledge of tape measure, math and use of hand or power tools required.* Experience using a forklift and pallet jack preferred.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and complete a wide variety of carpentry and shipping tasks.* Ability to work mandatory overtime and weekends required.* Must have a reliable method of transportation to/from the facility.**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES*** Strong quality orientation in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task as well as handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing situations.* Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times in a dynamic work environment.* Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.* Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative.* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.* Ability to read, speak, and understand shipping documents in English.* Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.* Ability to assist in a team lift in excess of 80 lbs of raw and finished materials.* Ability to pull or push the Q-System non-driven trolleys to transport pre-cut and finished materials throughout the facility.* Possesses the ability to understand and follow instructions.* Ability to work collaboratively and well with teammates.**Want to stand out?** Take a quick 7–8 minute assessment after applying: It helps us get to know you and moves your application along faster! #J-18808-Ljbffr
