As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will oversee the daily activities and workflow of the Patient Access area while providing compassionate, professional service to patients, families, and visitors. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area. Develop,implementand oversee programs to improve appointmentutilizationsuchasreminder, follow‑up on no‑show/cancellation program. Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems. Adjust employees,patientsand physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems. Control and audit the reconciliation of daysheetsincluding adjusting statistics in the computer data bank. Produce reports as needed. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High School Diploma or GED Two yearsofCleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent,includinginteracting with patients,physicians,and other departments on a problem resolution basis OR three yearsofexternal outpatient scheduling experience, includingresolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others ORAssociateDegreeand one year ofexperience ORBachelor's Degree Physical Requirements: Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech. Occasional lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
