Operations ManagerOhioans for Amy Acton is seeking an Operations Manager to join our staff working to elect Dr. Amy Acton to a 4-year term in 2026. The campaign is based in Columbus, OH. We are seeking a very organized, detail-oriented professional to lead the campaign's scheduling and advance operations to support Dr. Acton as she travels the state. An ideal candidate will have prior scheduling or advance experience.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensuring the calendar reflects the campaign's strategic prioritiesProcuring staffing and security for Dr. Acton's events and travelCoordinating logistics of Dr. Acton's participation in campaign-related events to ensure expectations are metProposing alternate dates as needed to secure meetings/eventsBooking hotels as needed for overnight staysAdvising senior staff and partners on all materials and needs in advance of campaign eventsVetting potential hosts to determine political implications of accepting invitationPreparing briefs to include logistics of event as well as background of host/organization, talking points, and ask (coordinated with senior team in advance)Time blocking calendar to maximize time including travel time, event time, meeting time, etc.Helping to manage a high-volume of incoming event invitationsTimely response to all pending invitations to secure date, suggest alternate dates, or decline invitationsLeading scheduling calls to review calendar, fill open spots, and discuss new invitationsAdditional projects as neededIdeal Qualifications:Prior scheduling, operations, or advance experience, preferably for a candidate or elected officialExceptional attention to detail, ability to manage several tasks at once, and ability to work under pressureStrong political instinctsAbility to work with external partners and to juggle multiple departments' priorities and asksStrong relationship-building and donor management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, shifting environmentWillingness to work long hours and irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekendsInterest in continuing to work in a future Dr. Acton administrationCompensation:Salary: $4,500 - $6,000 per monthBenefits: options include: health, dental, visionLeave: Paid time off will be available per campaign policy.Hours: This position's schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.To apply, please email your resume and a paragraph about why you are interested and qualified to View email address on click.appcast.io.
