JOB SUMMARY
The CT Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures in accordance with established protocols to aid the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting appropriate exposure factors, algorithms, and scan fields, while considering the patient's age and diagnosis to produce technically precise cross-sectional images that assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. They also participate in complex invasive CT examinations by supporting the Radiologist or Physician’s Assistant using proper sterile techniques and generating CT images.

Qualifications

Education:

• Completion of an accredited Radiography program

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

• Connecticut state Radiographer license is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience:

• Preferred: 6 months of experience in a Radiology hospital environment.
• Familiarity with CT Technology and venipuncture is beneficial.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
