Job Description

Job Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography procedures in an outpatient setting. They ensure patient safety, operate imaging equipment proficiently, and follow all guidelines to deliver accurate diagnostic images.

Responsibilities:

• Operate GE and Toshiba/Canon CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic scans at scheduled shifts.
• Administer IV contrast and manage patient safety during procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and radiation guidelines set by ARRT and American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
• Prepare and maintain all required certifications, licenses, and documentation, including EPIC charting.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care and procedure flow.
• Maintain equipment calibration, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited imaging technology program approved by licensing authorities.
• Hold current registration with ARRT in radiography and CT, or pending certification.
• Possess licensure in CT by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI), or registered with ARRT in CT.
• Demonstrate outpatient experience and proficiency in IV placement skills.
• Be certified in BLS from the AHA within 90 days of hire.
• Have recent EPIC charting experience and experience with GE and Toshiba/Canon CT scanners.
