Position at AMBA Insurance Benefits Representative (1099, Independent Contractor) Location : North Carolina | Compensation: Commission + Bonuses | Schedule: Self-Managed, Full-Time Commitment About AMBA For over 65 years, AMBA has proudly served retired public servants by offering access to supplemental insurance benefits they may not receive through traditional retirement plans. In North Carolina, AMBA is the exclusive endorsed provider for the North Carolina Retired Governmental Employees Association , the Professional Educators of North Carolina , giving us direct access to their members and communities. - Leads You Can Count On: We provide leads at no cost to you through exclusive association access, but outbound calling is still a big part of the role — persistence and follow-up drive results.

- Comprehensive Training: From licensing support to ongoing sales coaching, product education, and business planning, our training program sets you up for long-term success — whether you're new to insurance or ready to launch your career.
- Meet virtually or in person with association members to understand their needs and recommend supplemental insurance solutions.
- Educate clients through one-on-one consultations, webinars, and group presentations.
- Use a consultative sales approach to help retirees protect their health, income, and legacy — including options like Fixed Indexed Annuities for long-term retirement planning.
- Stay engaged with ongoing training, mentorship, and business planning to continuously improve your performance.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a self-starter attitude
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to providing exceptional service and follow-through
- A Life & Health license (or willingness to obtain — we’ll guide you through the process)
- A desire to grow your income and independence with a performance-driven model
- Performance-based commissions with advanced payouts and lifetime vesting
- No income cap — average first-year earnings of $70K–$90K, with top agents earning $100K+
- Monthly bonuses and travel incentives to top destinations
- Ongoing sales training, onboarding, and mentorship
- You’ll have access to experienced local leadership, a dedicated Sales Support team, and onboarding specialists committed to your success.
