Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager / Team Lead to oversee a portfolio of complex commercial insurance accounts while leading and mentoring a team of Commercial Account Managers. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, support account retention and growth initiatives, manage carrier relationships, and provide leadership to ensure exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Account Management

• Manage and service complex commercial insurance accounts with premiums exceeding $150,000
• Build and maintain strong client and carrier relationships
• Lead new client onboarding and account renewal processes
• Review coverage needs and provide risk management recommendations
• Resolve coverage concerns, service issues, and client inquiries
• Coordinate with producers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction
• Support account rounding and cross-selling opportunities

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Commercial Account Managers
• Establish priorities, workflows, and performance expectations
• Conduct training and professional development activities
• Assist team members with complex account servicing issues
• Participate in departmental planning and strategy discussions

Client Service & Operations

• Serve as a technical resource for commercial insurance coverage questions
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with agency procedures, workflows, and E&O standards
• Utilize agency management systems and reporting tools effectively
• Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Property & Casualty Insurance License
• Minimum 5 years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience within an insurance agency or risk management environment
• Minimum 2 years of team leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong commercial insurance coverage knowledge
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience using agency management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with Applied Systems Epic
• CPCU, ARM, CIC, CISR, or other insurance designations
• Advanced commercial insurance and risk management knowledge
