PIPE FITTER

Burrow Global Construction is preparing for several upcoming projects that require experienced Pipefitters. Candidates for this position must hold an NCCER certification and have at least 3 years of pipefitting experience. Job Responsibilities Blueprint Reading: Interpret isometric drawings, shop drawings, and schematics to plan pipe layouts and sequences. Material Fabrication: Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend metals (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, monel, etc.) to exact dimensions. Assembly and Joining: Fit up and join pipe sections and supports using welding, or threaded fittings. Testing and Inspection: Perform pressure and leak tests on finished piping systems to verify safety and regulatory compliance. Maintenance: Repair or replace worn-out valves, fittings, and damaged pipe sections in industrial or commercial plants. Qualifications And Skills Experience: High school diploma plus formal trade school training, an apprenticeship program, or verifiable field experience. (NCCER) Technical Skills: Proficiency with power tools, torch cutters, threading machines, and basic welding processes. Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy materials (50lbs), stand or kneel for long periods, and work in tight spaces or at heights. Safety Knowledge: Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Site specific guidelines and procedures with elevated work and/or Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
