Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Reports To: Plant Manager

Position Summary

RSF is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of

our fast-paced shipping department. This individual is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and

accurate outbound shipments while maintaining the highest quality standards for our customers.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a demanding industrial environment and

leads by example.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of shipping personnel and forklift operators.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping department.

• Inspect high-value loads before and during loading to ensure customer specifications are met.

• Inspect baled commodities for quality, contamination, and bale integrity.

• Efficiently utilize labor and equipment to maximize productivity.

• Coordinate trailer loading and unloading activities.

• Train and coach forklift operators on safe operating practices.

• Communicate shipping priorities and quality concerns with plant management.

• Assist with inventory accuracy, bale organization, and yard management.

• Identify opportunities to improve safety and workflow.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Valid driver's license.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in the recycling industry.

• Experience operating horizontal balers.

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts.

• Previous supervisory experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or production.

• Knowledge of recyclable commodities and customer quality specifications.
