Data Scientist

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Scientist in Saint Paul, MN. Summary: The Data Scientist leads moderately complex analytics and machine learning efforts, delivering production-ready solutions and actionable insights. This role is expected to quickly ramp in new environments and independently drive project outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models
• Lead end-to-end analytics projects from problem framing to production
• Engineer features and optimize model performance
• Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Implement model validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks
• Mentor junior data scientists
• Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize solutions
• Provide technical leadership on modeling approaches and best practices within assigned initiatives
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field
• 6-10 years of professional data science experience
• Experience deploying models into production environments
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
• Strong proficiency in Python or R, including building production-ready analytics workflows
• Solid understanding of statistical inference, ML algorithms, and experimentation design
• Familiarity with version control (Git)

• PhD in a quantitative field
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud-native data architectures
• Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive industries
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to improve productivity and enhance code review and documentation processes
