Patient Authorization and Referral Representative - Cardiology

Works with guidance and direction from the Northwest Heart & Lung Surgical Associates Coding Lead. The Authorization & Referral Specialist performs a variety of tasks relative to patient registration and is responsible for the coordination of insurance verification, referrals, authorizations and benefits. The Authorization Referral Specialist advises patients/family regarding an understanding of their financial obligation to Northwest Heart & Lung Surgical Associates. • H.S. Diploma or GED
• 2 years of Hospital or medical business office experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Word processing and spreadsheet computer applications.
• Experience with Insurance Verification of benefits
