Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN is responsible for assisting with and monitoring procedures within the cardiac catheterization laboratory. This role involves circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring during various cardiac procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Promote patient safety by effectively circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive cardiac interventions, including electrophysiology studies and catheter placements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain sterile techniques throughout procedures.
• Document all procedural activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies during procedures.
• Maintain current certifications and licenses, including BLS and ACLS, and participate in required assessments and training.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact license at the time of application.
• Possess a minimum of 1-year experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related specialty.
• Demonstrate active certifications in BLS and ACLS, with all credentials in hand at the time of submission.
• Be able to recognize and interpret ECG rhythms accurately.
• Pass the ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation.
• Complete required background checks and drug screens within specified timeframes.
