Our office, Periodontal Associates Inc, in Lyndhurst OH, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. In addition to our stunning Lynhurst office, we also have a beautiful location in Mentor, offering the flexibility to work from either office based on business needs. Your Responsibilities As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in maintaining our patient’s oral health and promoting overall well-being. If you are dedicated, detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping patients achieve excellent oral hygiene, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Perform thorough and accurate oral assessments to identify patients' oral health conditions. Clean and remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth using various dental instruments. Administer local anesthesia to patients as required for dental procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash. Provide personalized recommendations for oral care products based on individual patient needs. Take dental X-rays and process them for the dentist's evaluation. Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride varnishes or sealants to protect patients' teeth. Conduct periodontal charting and assist the dentist in identifying and treating gum diseases. Monday - Thursday 9:00AM - 4:00PM As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed. Must be able to operate standard office equipment Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations Final compensation will be determined based on your experience and qualifications.
