Mail Services Specialist

Mail Services Specialist Drive between Siteman or Washington University locations in the St. Louis area to deliver pharmacy products, post mail, and sort mail. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lb., and experience operating a pallet jack are required. Work schedule: Monday‑Friday 6 am‑2:30 pm. Responsibilities Accurately and timely process incoming and outgoing mail, coordinating delivery, pickup, and processing for the mail center. Sort inter‑office mail from the United States Postal Service, hospitals, and service organizations. Maintain knowledge of mail‑processing equipment and alternate site procedures. Generate departmental reports and use computer systems to find information from patient and physician lists. Manage cost‑effective processing of outgoing mail in accordance with USPS regulations. Determine correct rate classification of postage and create necessary paperwork. Educate internal customers on postal regulations, mail‑piece design, postage savings, and mail preparation. Interpret and apply Department of Transportation and state laws regarding vehicle operation and transportation of items while delivering to all BJC facilities. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Less than 2 years of experience in mail services. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lb. Experience operating a pallet jack. Strong computer skills and ability to generate reports.
