We are looking for an Industrial Engineer I in our Deland, FL office! 

• This is an in-office position (5 days in office, no hybrid or remote).
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Summary: This entry-level role provides an opportunity to apply engineering principles to real-world projects while gaining valuable experience in design, analysis, and project coordination. As an Industrial Engineer I, you will work under the supervision of senior engineers and contribute to various engineering tasks. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving business and manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, safety, and profitability. This role utilizes data-driven methodologies, Lean principles, and continuous improvement techniques to eliminate waste, optimize resource utilization, and improve operational performance across the organization. Key responsibilities include process mapping, work measurement, facility layout optimization, labor planning, capacity analysis, and cost reduction initiatives.

Essential Duties:

• Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for productivity, quality, and cost improvements.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives under the guidance of more experienced team members.
• Develop and maintain process maps, value stream maps, and standard work documentation.
• Conduct time studies, work measurement analyses, and labor utilization assessments.
• Design and optimize facility layouts, workflows, and material flow systems.
• Assist with tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring operational performance trends.
• Identify and implement waste reduction and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation efforts.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to support improvement efforts.
• Assist in preparing business case inputs and ROI analyses for improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Share knowledge and support team member awareness of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies as appropriate.
• Support improvement projects from concept through implementation and sustainment, with guidance from project sponsors or senior team members.
• Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
• Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities - Aligned to ASCE Guidelines:  

• Assist in the design, development, and analysis of engineering projects. 
• Conduct research and apply engineering principles to solve technical challenges. 
• Prepare reports, drawings, and documentation for project planning and execution. 
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project success. 
• Perform site visits, inspections, and evaluations as needed. 
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or related internship/co-op experience.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Exposure to process mapping, value stream mapping, and workflow analysis preferred.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to support project-related tasks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to improvement efforts.
• Travel up to 25%
