Location: Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation | Wilkesboro, NC

• 1 Full-Time Day Shift Position: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• 3 Full-Time Night Shift Positions: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

What You'll Do

As a Charge Nurse, you will:

• Provide direct nursing care while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and personalized treatment

• Lead and support CNAs and nursing staff during your assigned shift

• Complete resident assessments and identify changes in condition

• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders and facility policies

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Assign resident care duties based on staff abilities and resident needs

• Perform rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and overall satisfaction

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers

• Promote compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations

• Support quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention efforts

• Create a positive, respectful, and teamwork-focused environment

Qualifications

• Current, active North Carolina RN or LPN license

• Current CPR certification

• Minimum one year of nursing experience required

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Ability to lead and support a nursing team in a fast-paced environment
