Trade Compliance Manager

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW The Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's export compliance program, ensuring compliance with import & export regulations including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and CBP. This is an in-office position based near Pontiac, MI. EXPECTATIONS Develop and manage the company's export compliance program, including policies and guidance Serve as the Empowered Official for ITAR licensing and certifications to the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls Conduct internal export compliance and awareness training for employees Provide expert guidance on exports under ITAR and EAR, including defense articles, technical data, and dual-use items Prepare, submit, and implement ITAR licensing including DECCS licenses, Technical Assistance Agreements, and Commodity Jurisdictions Prepare, submit, and implement EAR licensing and commodity classifications Conduct internal export compliance audits, investigate non-compliance, and prepare voluntary disclosures ESSENTIALS 10+ years of experience in export controls Bachelor’s degree preferred In depth knowledge of export jurisdiction, ECCN classification, licensing, exemptions and exceptions Solid understanding of import entry process with CBP and PGAs Experience with Technical Assistance Agreements and Technology Control Plans Familiarity with related U.S. regulations including OFAC, Antiboycott, BATFE, and FCPA Experience managing government contracts subject to ITAR compliance Must be a U.S. Person following ITAR regulations #J-18808-Ljbffr
