Night Shift 20:00-08:30/FRI-SUN, 06/01 start, 13wks, 06/01 start, Must have experience with the GE EVO CT Unit/Alt specialty: Diagnostic Imaging (X-ray)

This department performs computerized tomography procedures with frequent use of contrast media. The department is also responsible for the pre-procedure and post-procedure care.

Located in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Our facility in Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. We are comprised of a 173-bed hospital and many outpatient clinics with primary and specialty care services. Hanford residents are proud of their city's historic charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.

Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA

Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA

Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Essential Functions:

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.

Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.

Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.

Maintains accurate records, files and billing information.

Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.

Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
