Job Title: Manufacturing Technician A Job Code: 35485 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Schedule: 3/12: Employees work 12 hour days, 3 days a week Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for testing boards, modules, and units, making critical data-based decisions, and collaborating with Leads and Test Engineering to ensure optimal station functionality and high yields. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining our quality standards and driving continuous improvement. This position involves a fast-paced environment, collaborative teamwork and achieving results-based goals. Essential Functions Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products in a repetitive nature Follows an engineered assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels Uses Microsoft Office programs Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours). Able to transport up to 25 lbs. Other duties as assigned Ability to work overtime as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-3 years prior experience Preferred Additional Skills Currently enrolled in an electrical technician degree program Basic knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory Associates degree (technical discipline) Electronics / RF Troubleshooting Experience Experience with Harris RFCD products and assembly processes Able to perform LabVIEW driven automated tests Familiar with basic test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers Able to read and understand schematic diagrams MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements Strong communication skills Familiarity with basic computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel (Unicam knowledge a plus) Willingness to work and learn in fast-paced production environment In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $36,920- $63,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
