Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Plant General Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting in daily operations, ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of the plant, and supporting production activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

1. Production Support :
2. • Assist in operating machinery and equipment as directed by the supervisor.
   • Handle raw materials and finished goods, including loading and unloading.
   • Monitor production lines to ensure smooth operation and report any issues promptly.
3. Maintenance and Cleaning :
4. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and tools.
   • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning machinery and removing debris.
5. Material Handling :
6. • Transport materials, products, and equipment within the facility using hand trucks or other tools.
   • Stack, package, and label goods for shipping or storage.
7. Quality Assurance :
8. • Inspect materials and products for defects or irregularities, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
   • Notify supervisors of any quality or safety concerns.
9. Safety Compliance :
10. • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Participate in safety training and immediately report any hazards or incidents.
11. Miscellaneous Tasks :
12. • Perform other general labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.

Qualifications

1. Education and Experience :
2. • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
3. Skills and Abilities :
4. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
   • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
   • Physical ability to lift up to [50 lbs/23 kg] and perform tasks requiring bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
5. Knowledge :
6. • Familiarity with basic tools and equipment used in a plant environment.
   • Understanding of workplace safety practices.
7. Other Requirements :
8. • Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
   • Willingness to work overtime or shift work as needed.

• Indoor manufacturing or industrial setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
