RF Engineer

Overview Contribute technical expertise and work within a focused team that designs, fabricates, integrates and tests RF and millimeter wave subsystems. Work closely with scientists and engineers to develop state of the art RF subsystems for communication, radar and sensing applications. Additional job functions include solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures, publishing papers, briefing customers, participating in proposal activities and assisting in marketing HRL expertise. Responsibilities Contribute technical expertise and work within a focused team that designs, fabricates, integrates and tests RF and millimeter wave subsystems. Work closely with scientists and engineers to provide support in developing state of the art RF subsystems for communication, radar and sensing applications. Assist in solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures, publishing papers, briefing customers, participating in proposal activities and assisting in marketing HRL expertise. Required Skills and Qualifications Some experience with modeling and simulating electronic components, RF electronics and circuits. Experience with different families of FPGAs, DSPs, or microcontrollers. Working familiarity with Python, C and MATLAB; Simulink is a plus. Understanding of basic circuit theory, electromagnetics, and digital signal processing. Familiarity with RF and high-speed digital test equipment. Working knowledge of RF components for communication and radar systems is a plus. Ability to interact professionally with program managers, co-workers and customers. Ability to operate complex electronic equipment. Ability to perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits and prepare written and oral presentations. Ability to work well in a team and independently. Proficiency in use of computers, engineering workstations, complex electronic equipment, oral and written communication, interaction with vendors/colleagues and willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Required Education Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience. Physical Requirements Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time. Special Requirements US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance. Compensation The base salary range for this full-time position is $99,705 - $124,683 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
