Our Team, Your Impact The Institutional Hospital Sales Representative is part of a newly created sales team focused on the psychiatry space. The role is responsible for the performance of a long‑acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia in the Los Angeles North, CA market. You will achieve and deliver results in a compliant and ethical manner, focusing on institutional selling within the hospital channel. How You’ll Spend Your Day Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory‑level sales goals, identifying key opportunities across settings of care. Collaborate with sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training. Adhere to all Teva compliance guidelines and uphold integrity in all interactions. Review weekly/monthly data reports to identify trends and create action plans. Build rapport with healthcare providers and external contacts (HCP and hospital staff) at all levels. Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in‑servicing to current and potential customers. Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote the product and provide patient education. Work closely with specialty pharmacy facilities to ensure product availability and provide education. Remain apprised of formulary developments by working with the P&T committee. Coordinate with discharge coordinators to understand patient follow‑up treatment and transitions of care. Maintain a call average, focusing on face‑to‑face interactions with top target customers. Your Skills And Experience Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in the long‑acting injectable schizophrenia space. Experience in the hospital setting with an understanding of buy‑and‑bill, formulary placement, P&T committees, and in‑services. Experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred. Specific experience with long‑acting injectables for schizophrenia in the hospital setting preferred. Experience successfully launching products in psychiatry across multiple settings of care. Injectable and in‑office administration experience within a mental health facility. Ability to operate within complex settings and networks, providing customer insights effectively. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Proficiency with technology for interacting with customers in live and virtual environments. Understanding of reimbursement coverage, pull‑through strategies, and business settings (Hospitals, VA, CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice). Understanding of the buy‑and‑bill model. Leadership and collaboration skills across multiple sales teams. Proven written and verbal communication skills. Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Travel Requirements Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, which may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel. Salary Range The annual starting salary for this position is between $88,000 – $160,000, with factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and qualifications influencing the range. The position also qualifies for participation in the company’s sales incentive plan based on defined sales targets.
